Garlic Herb Grilled Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
Main
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
Marinade
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Garlic Herb Butter
- 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped

Steps
Make the marinade
Combine all of the marinade ingredients in a medium-sized bowl. Place the shrimp into a large ziplock bag and pour in the marinade mixture. Marinade the shrimp for 1 hour.
Make the herb butter
Combine the butter, garlic, and parsley, and set aside until the shrimp have finished cooking.
Preheat the grill
Preheat the grill to 375°F. I recommend grilling the shrimp over direct heat.
Grill the shrimp
Slide the shrimp onto skewers to allow for easier adding and removing from the grill. Grill for 3 minutes per side or until the shrimp is just opaque. I like to cook shrimp to an internal temperature of 135–140°F (57–60°C), but the FDA recommends 145°F (62°C).
Mix grilled shrimp in garlic herb butter
Remove from the skewers and place in a large bowl. Be careful, the shrimp will be hot. Pour the garlic herb butter over the shrimp and toss gently to coat.
Enjoy the grilled shrimp
